Celebrating our lovely sister's Birthday, today, so stopped in for a truly delicious meal and a bottle of champagne!! Food, (brilliant choices, catering for everyone) ambience, service and smashing staff - Superb and thoroughly recommended!! 5⭐
We had a family meal at The Red Lion, Broadclyst, yesterday. We all had different things of the menu. The menu was fairly extensive. All the food was delicious! The service was great, both at the bar and at the table. The wine was good and there was a good variety of beers and lagers. I can honestly say this was a real quality pub experience. Thanks to all for making this a memorable experience.
Nice and cosy little pub. We stayed for three nights. The food was excellent, especially the sweets. The breakfast was abundant and they have vegetarian variants . The staff could have not been more polite! Would definitely return! Part of an overall extraordinary vacation in Devon. Go there, you won’t regret it!
What can I say other than absolutely fantastic. Stayed at the Red Lion for one night on 3rd October, on the basis of an online search for somewhere near Exeter, and from start to finish everything was faultless. A friendly welcome; a beautiful, clean, cosy family room (great value too); fabulous evening meal; great beer; and a lovely ambience. Most striking, though, were the engaging, polite and happy staff who made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay; and, indeed, the local customers who gave the place such a buzzy, safe, and homely vibe. (Must also say by way of observation, the behaviour of the younger clientele was impeccable and respectful, which was refreshing to see in a pub environment in this day and age). Finally, special thanks to Jack for looking after us so well at breakfast (which was spot on by the way) - best of luck in the army young man! Will definitely revisit, and certainly for a longer stay! Can't recommend enough.
Excellent pub with great food. honestly beyond expectations. I had a pulled pork burger which was a today's special and rhubarb and custard tart with ginger ice cream. Very tasty! the staff was very accommodating and friendly.
We had a Sunday lunch here, a table of 8. The food arrived really quickly and the portion sizes were great! Nice to have a vegan option for the Sunday roast too, which was really tasty. The staff are attentive and friendly - overall a great place to eat.
